Sex is great, right? And the more the better…. That’s the message we get from our culture, but what if it’s not true in your own particular relationship or situation? For Becky it is time to confront this issue head-on in Chapter 27 of her memoir Beyond the Great Abyss.
Sex is one of our most basic, driving instincts, and because of this deep link in our brains, emotional and psychological issues will be reflected here. Sex should be mutually satisfying and enjoyable, a chance for both people to express their love and caring for the other, resulting in greater pleasure and connection for both. If there is a problem with sex in a relationship, or an individual, it is a bright red flag – something is wrong and needs attention. (See Workbook Introduction for how to use this workbook).
